Client Agreement & Policies

Booking & Cancellation:

At Dorothy’s Events & Celebrations, we understand that plans can change. To ensure we can best serve all of our clients, please review our booking and cancellation guidelines below:

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your event date.
  • Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
  • The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event.
  • Cancellations made more than 45 days before the event may receive a credit toward future services.
  • Cancellations made within 45 days of the event will result in the loss of the deposit.
  • In the rare event that Dorothy’s Events & Celebrations must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, all payments will be refunded in full.

 


Payment:

To keep the process simple and secure, we accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/debit card
  • PayPal
  • Direct bank transfer

Payment Schedule - 

  • A 30% deposit is due upon booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid 7 days prior to the event.
  • Late payments may incur a 5% late fee per week after the due date.
  • Services will not be rendered until full payment has been received.

If your event requires additional time, staff, or materials beyond the agreed-upon scope, additional charges will apply and must be settled before the event date.

 

 

Event Service:

We pride ourselves on offering a smooth, joyful event experience. To make sure everything runs perfectly, please review these service details:

  • Our team will arrive 1–2 hours prior to the event for setup (depending on size and venue access).
  • The client is responsible for providing venue access, parking, and any required permits.
  • We will coordinate teardown and cleanup of any décor provided by Dorothy’s Events & Celebrations.
  • We are not responsible for venue damages, third-party vendor issues, or items not provided by us.
  • Please note that outdoor events are weather-dependent. We recommend having a backup plan in case of rain or extreme temperatures. 

 

 

Terms & Conditions:

By booking with Dorothy’s Events & Celebrations, you agree to the following:

  1. Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to decline services for unsafe conditions or unreasonable requests.
  2. Liability: We are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses caused by circumstances beyond our control, including weather, power outages, or venue issues.
  3. Intellectual Property: All photos, designs, and event concepts created by Dorothy’s Events & Celebrations remain the property of the business.
  4. Communication: All major changes to event plans must be confirmed in writing.
  5. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be handled in good faith through communication before legal action is considered.                                            

 

 

 

Photo & Media:

We love celebrating our clients’ special moments and sharing inspiration from our work. To balance your privacy and our marketing needs, please review the following:

  • By booking with Dorothy’s Events & Celebrations, you grant permission for us to use non-identifying photos or videos from your event for marketing purposes (website, social media, or portfolio).
  • We will never share images of minors without parental consent.
  • If you prefer your event photos not be used publicly, please let us know in writing before the event date, and we’ll fully respect your wishes.

 

 

Vendor Collaboration:

We love working alongside talented vendors to make your celebration shine!

To keep coordination smooth and professional:

  • We are happy to collaborate with vendors of your choice (florists, caterers, photographers, etc.).
  • Please provide all vendor contact information at least 14 days prior to your event.
  • Dorothy’s Events & Celebrations is not responsible for third-party performance, delays, or errors caused by other vendors.
  • If you’d like us to manage vendor communication and scheduling, this can be added as part of your planning package
